SCHS stepped up and swiftly arranged a foster home for Hondo, a home filled with the promise of recovery and love.
Sarah and her son became Hondo’s foster family and welcomed him with open hearts. The sadness of Hondo’s previous condition touched them deeply.
“I felt horrible when I saw Hondo and the condition he was in because you don’t look like that overnight. That’s years of neglect,” Sarah lamented.

Hondo’s routine now included therapeutic baths and the simple joy of playful interactions and affectionate cuddles.
